DevWorks International Announces Departure of Demetria Arvanitis as CEO and Welcomes New CEO DeAnn McGrew
DevWorks International, a leading global development organization dedicated to creating positive change in communities worldwide, announces the departure of Demetria Arvanitis as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and welcomes DeAnn McGrew as the new CEO.
Demetria Arvanitis has been an integral part of the DevWorks family for the past decade, serving as CEO since 2015. Under her exemplary leadership, DevWorks has achieved numerous milestones and made significant strides in advancing our mission to foster sustainable development and improve the lives of countless individuals around the world. Demetria’s dedication, vision, and unwavering commitment have been instrumental in the growth and success of our organization.
“Navigating the complex landscape of international development is no small feat, and Demetria has done so with grace, integrity, and a tireless determination to make a positive impact,” said Nancy Bradley, DevWorks Board Chair. “We are deeply grateful for her outstanding service and her dedication to building DevWorks into the respected global development organization it is today.”
During her tenure, Demetria spearheaded initiatives that have touched the lives of countless individuals, from providing capacity building to underserved communities to promoting gender equality and economic empowerment. Her legacy of development work will continue to inspire us as we move forward.
DevWorks International is excited to announce the appointment of our new CEO, DeAnn McGrew, who will assume the position effective December 1st. DeAnn brings a wealth of experience and a passion for sustainable development to her new role. DeAnn is a seasoned leader in the field of international development with over 20 years of experience and has dedicated her career to addressing global challenges related to poverty, agriculture, and economic development. Prior to joining DevWorks, she served as the Senior Director of Program Delivery with Winrock International, where she successfully led complex
change management and organizational initiatives that positively impacted Winrock’s work with communities across Africa, Asia, and Latin America.
As the new CEO of DevWorks International, DeAnn is committed to building upon the organization’s strong foundation and expanding its reach to even more communities in need. “I am honored to lead this incredible team of dedicated professionals who are making a real difference in the world,” said DeAnn. “Together, we will continue to drive positive change and create sustainable solutions for some of the most pressing global challenges.” DevWorks International looks forward to a bright future under DeAnn’s leadership and thanks Demetria once again for her exceptional contributions to our mission.
